Dear ASLMS members and colleagues,
As you know, ASLMS is an accredited CME provider and we take this responsibility very seriously. We are bringing some very important information to your attention. ACCME recently posted proposed revisions to its Standards for Integrity and Independence in Accredited Continuing Education. ACCME is requesting comments on the proposed revisions to the ACCME Regulations and will receive comments from individuals and other stakeholders thru February 20. This will be reviewed at their Board meeting in March.
We are asking that you review the attached information and make your voices heard regarding the proposed rules by responding via this survey link . It is important for you to share this information with your professional colleagues outside of ASLMS, since these regulations will have a significant impact on CME related to drugs, devices, and clinical research. They will indeed impact both CME providers and consumers (learners) and will limit what content can be provided for CME credit going forward. Please tell ACCME whether you agree or disagree with their proposed changes.
Thank you for your consideration.
