The ASLMS Annual Conference promises to be an outstanding learning and networking opportunity to stay on top of all the latest research findings and most useful clinical pearls! Abstract Sessions

As the world’s preeminent gathering of professionals in the field of lasers and other energy-based technologies, the ASLMS Annual Conference is the ideal venue for clinicians, scientists, students, residents and early career scientists to present research to a global audience. Approximately 70% of first-deadline submitted abstracts are selected for oral presentations each year. Abstracts are also published in Lasers in Surgery and Medicine, the internationally renowned journal of ASLMS.

Courses, Workshops & Sessions

Specialty sessions, which deal in detail with specific areas of laser and other energy-based applications, comprise the other major part of the program. Attendees are free to attend the specialty breakout sessions and individual lectures of their choice, to develop individualized programs suiting their particular needs and interests.

CME credits and CE contact hours are available. ASLMS is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians. View the Continuing Education Information page for more details.


Educational Grants

Educational Grants are available for ASLMS members who are medical students, residents, undergraduate students, interns, and fellows-in-training doing patient oriented research and graduate students and post-doctoral fellows currently involved full-time in biomedical laser research. Applicants must be within a maximum of 7 years from start-date of post-doctorate training. Applications must be linked to an accompanying abstract. Learn More

The Peggy Nowell, RN Educational Grant is also available to ASLMS members who are certified or degreed in the Nursing/Allied Health Field or working toward a degree in the field of Nursing/Allied Health. Applications must be linked to an accompanying abstract or case study. Learn More
