ASLMS 2023 Early Career Educational Support Scholarship
The deadline for 2023 has passed and all scholarships have been awarded.
ASLMS is offering 100 scholarships of $750 each for qualified students, residents, and fellows to attend the conference. Awards are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Awards must be applied to the cost of attending the ASLMS Annual Conference in person including registration fees, pre-conference courses (separate cost), hotel*, airfare, transportation, and meals.
* Please note that only ASLMS host hotel expenses will be reimbursed. The host hotels are Hyatt Regency Phoenix and Sheraton Phoenix Downtown.
This is available to ASLMS members who represent at least one status from the list below and are within a maximum of 7 years from start-date of post-doctorate training:
- Undergraduate Student
- Physician Students (Medical Student, Intern, enrolled in a current residency program, Fellow-in-Training doing patient-oriented research)
- Early Career Scientist Students (Graduate student or post-doctoral trainee currently involved full-time in biomedical laser research)
- Nursing/Allied Health Students

Key Dates

Notification of application status: within 2 weeks of the date of your application*
Must register for the conference by: March 15, 2023
*Note for Abstract Presenting Authors: If you applied for an Abstract Presenting Author Scholarship for ASLMS 2023, please note that all abstracts will be reviewed in the beginning of February. The final decision on the Abstract Presenting Author Scholarships will be made by mid-February. We encourage you to submit the application for this Early Career Educational Support Scholarship as well. You can receive one scholarship or the other, but not both.
Expenses must be submitted no later than 2 weeks following the conference (May 1, 2023) at the ASLMS Central Office. Email: information@aslms.org. An expense form will be sent to you with notification of acceptance.
