I am currently a 4th year dermatology resident at University of Alberta, Edmonton, Canada (a 5-year residency program). Prior to medical school, I completed my undergraduate program in Electronic Engineering which has significantly assisted me to pursue and fulfill my biomedical research desires. I have significant interests in utilizing optical modalities to non-invasively diagnose different cutaneous presentations. I have had opportunities to present my research at multiple dermatology conferences in the past including the ASLMS 34th Annual Conference which got me more involved with the Society.
ASLMS creates tremendous support for the residents, not only enhancing their clinical knowledge and skills, but also connecting to mentors who could provide significant support for the residents. I am honored to have the privilege of representing residents and fellows on the ASLMS board of directors and envision to broaden ASLMS support towards residents and fellows education and early career planning in the near future. I would like to be connected to all the residents and fellows, and hear their concerns and opinions in order to be able to serve them better. So, don’t hesitate to contact me if you have questions or suggestions. I can be reached at Bahman.Sotoodian@gmail.com
