Kenneth A. Arndt, MD
This award, given in recognition of Dr. Kenneth A. Arndt, was established in 2024 to recognize individuals for their commitment to training the next generation of medical professionals.
Dr. Arndt joined the Society in January 1981 as a founding member and served as the ASLMS president from 1986-1987. He became an ASLMS honorary member in 2021. His contributions to the fields of dermatology and research have made a lasting impact on how ASLMS members practice medicine. Scores of fellows and medical students have trained under his leadership, leading ASLMS to name an honorary award that would be given annually to a deserving ASLMS member.
This award is available to ASLMS members only. The award recipient will receive a plaque and $1,000 at the Annual Conference and will be required to present a lecture at the conference.
The candidate must meet the following criteria:
- Shown commitment to training the next generation of medical professionals
- A current ASLMS member in good standing
- Good verbal communication skills to allow for an informative, appropriate lecture
No award will be granted to any person if the award would be contrary to any United States law, including but not limited to trade embargoes administered by the U.S. Treasury Department’s Office of Foreign Assets Control.
